Rev. Karimah M. Bailey-Emeh is a California native. She served honorably in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. After service to country, she worked as a Police Officer for Seattle Veterans Affairs. She retired from civilian employment in 2019 to focus on full-time ministry.

Rev. Bailey-Emeh received her Bachelor of Arts in Religion at Luther Rice College and Seminary where she is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity. She is the wife of 1st Gentleman, Chisomaga C. Emeh and mother to 4. She is a published author and lover of fine arts. She is an active member of the NAACP and mentors’ youth in surrounding communities.
Rev. Bailey-Emeh has devoted her life to God and to a ministry that seeks to inspire others toward discipleship of Jesus the Christ through investigative study, teaching, and preaching of God’s Word that reveals His divine character in ways that realistically and practically apply to the lives of present-day Believer’s.
She accepted her call into ministry in 2004 under the leadership of her grandfather, Presiding Elder (emeritus) Rev. James E. Smith, Sr. and after 19 years of local ministry, in 2023 Rev. Bailey-Emeh became the proud pastor of New Hope Ministries.
